To get there, you can choose either by land, sea or air. Most of all the resorts at Redang do provide bus transfer from airport or bus station and follow by the boat transfer from Merang Jetty, but of course they have their own schedule. For those who wanted a more relaxing departure, there are some packages offering cruise to Redang and a day trip there. We decided to go by bus from Johor Bahru – Larkin Bus Station to Kuala Terengganu. It takes 8 hours and a half from Johor Bahru to Terengganu. We took taxi from bus station to Merang Jetty and boat transfer provided by Laguna Redang Resort.

I went to Redang Island with my hubby and another lovely couple end of august this year. We stayed at Laguna Redang Beach Resort and booked the 3D/2N package. The resort provided us with a very good and professional customer service. We reached the jetty at Laguna Redang Beach Resort around 11am and proceed to the waiting hall. They gave us an overall briefing on the resort and its activities. Welcome drinks, luggage service, and fast lane for check-in provided by the resort. We managed to get to our room in 15 minutes time.

We booked a Deluxe Garden Room for two nights. We had our own balcony with a garden views. The room was very big with 1 double-bed and 2 single-beds. Our room was one minute away from the resort’s lobby and restaurant. Meals were included in our package and the foods were quite nice and presentable. Besides they did provides three snorkeling activities in the package. It’s a price worth paying resort and a great place to stay.

No words can describe the beauty of this island. White cooling sands, crystal clear blue sea and wonderful Marine Park. In the evening all the wooden decks at the bay were empty but the music and other night activities started at the front of the resort filled the relaxing night. But for me, I would more prefer to stroll by the beach and feel the sensation of the cooling sea water after the snorkeling. Redang Island is great destination for a holiday suitable for any age.

For your info, the best time to visit Redang Island is between March to October. The resorts are closed from November to February because of the monsoon season
